Our Story

The Story of Living Hope...

In June 2006, our family set out to go on vacation. Part of the drive included driving through the state of Ohio to get to our destination. As we drove through the state, I could not help but see thousands of people, and yet so few churches. Then in November of 2006, I met a guy named Dean Fulks, who shared the great need of new churches in Central Ohio. My wife and I knew that the Lord was gripping our hearts and preparing us for a new work. On the Thursday evening of a mission’s conference, Al Jackson preached a message on the cost of following Jesus. His second point of the sermon was that the cost of following Jesus could mean a change of plans for your life. Needless to say, we knew God was moving!

Over the next year...

the Lord began to move in our hearts to take the next steps. In January 2007, the Lord placed upon the heart of Dublin Baptist Church to plant a new mission church in Marysville. Their only question was where to begin the search for the pastor. The day after Dublin Baptist purposed in their heart to begin this new work, the Lord put together our hearts and God has been moving faster than we can ever imagine. In March of 2008; my wife Jennifer, two year old son Caden, and I moved to Marysville, Ohio to plant Living Hope Church. We could have never imagined what has taken place in four years!

The mission of Living Hope Church is...

to extend God’s family among our neighbors and around the world. We are proud to be a Southern Baptist Church but are more concerned with leading people to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. God’s family is really big; however, there is always room for more. The truth is God loves you and desires for you to become a part of His family. That is why we are here, to invite you to the party. You see there is going to be a huge party after this life called Heaven. Everyone is invited, but you must accept the invitation. The invitation is from Jesus Christ, who loves you and paid the penalty for your sins and for mine. So come on and accept the invitation and come as you are. We look forward to meeting you soon and becoming a part of our family.

Grand Opening...

On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009, Living Hope officially went public to Marysville, Union County, Central Ohio, and the World. There were 244 people in attendance! Currently, we recently moved into our new church campus and are averaging over 400 people in Sunday morning attendance. We have 2 morning worship services for you to choose from at either 9:15 or 11:00. Come be a part of the story that God is writing here in Marysville...
